October was.. something. The Spooktober prompts were tricky this year! Some life things with family have kind of drained me of energy last month, but I still managed to do enough of the prompts to get the badge! :)

I also added a new map to my world! For a while, I’ve wanted to do what I’ve seen in some games like The Elder Scrolls Online, where you can click on a continent, and it brings up a more detailed map of that area. I found out that the map-making program I use can finally do this! I don’t know when it was added, but I randomly discovered that I can make a new detailed map based on a selection on whatever current map I have open. Using my world map, I did this with the Shattered Archipelagos area. I had a fun time coming up with names for islands and waterways on the map!

I also made a time zones overlay for the world map! I’ll update it as I add more things to the map, as time zones follow borders and whatnot and aren’t just straight lines. It’s hidden by default, so you have to turn it on in the layers menu in the top right.

I don’t think I’ll be doing NovelEmber this year, just too much going on right now and I don't have the energy for it. I may add some stuff to characters or whatever, but I’m not going to make it a goal or track it for NovelEmber. However, I will take part in the WorldEmber prep. So many more things have been added to my create backlog, mainly because of the detailed map of the Shattered Archipelagos, haha.

Also, side note, World Anvil now has a word tracker in the manuscripts! But, only you can see it. If you have a public NovelEmber page to share your progress, I made a word goal tracker statblock the other year that you can put in such an article! Here's the guide on how to set that up.

Dragonguard Progress Report (DPR-26)

Spooky time already! Why does time keep passing by so fast? Someone tell it to chill.

I won my first Summer Camp prompt!! Thanks to Dimi for choosing my article, Ardenfell Conquest, for his prompt: "A war that resulted in the expansion of a territory." I'm honored <3

I added a legend in a spoiler to show checked items in the world timeline on the LotD About page! It's super cool. If you want to see history and milestones of my world from one year, or a specific world anvil event, or any combination, open the spoiler and check the boxes you want! It will then hide everything on the timeline that isn't related to the checked boxes. I also added this feature to the other about pages on my other worlds for Root Directory and /dev/null.

I kinda scrambled at the last minute to finish my Blue Mission. I drew a few very rough sketches of some things and added them to articles. I've also added other things to articles, like quotes/excerpts from someone in the world. I think I barely managed to get the mission done; I have not had the energy or motivation to work on older stuff recently, so it took me forever to do. But hey, I drew a couple more things!

Anyway, Spooktober is here, so time to think about what to worldbuild for the prompts.

SC Prep and Homepage 3.0!

Yay! Finished the final week of Summer Camp prep :) GIMME THE PROMPTS

Also, the other day, I completely reworked the Legends of the Dragonguard's homepage! It's so much cooler now, and it's what I've wanted it to be like for a while! I hope you like it, and I hope the CSS is all good haha. There may be a few things to tweak still, but it should be pretty much finished.
